About Ellie
Breathwork Practitioner • Reiki Healer • Mind–Body Practitioner
For most of my life, I lived in my head. As a professional athlete when so many people were looking up to me, little did they know I was overthinking, doubting myself and trying to control everything which at times led to self sabotage.
I was performing on the court, studying at university, ticking the boxes … but inside, I felt tight, tense, ungrounded. Like I was always chasing goals that always felt out of reach. I wasn’t aware of it at the time, because it was all I knew; but I was constantly in survival mode, pushing, proving, striving and so often ending up feeling disappointed with myself and my abilities.
Breathwork changed that, and it taught me what regulation and calm actually feels like.
I hadn’t even heard of breathwork in 2021, and at that point energy healing and anything “alternative” was… not for me. It was too weird, too unrealistic, too far from what I was taught to believe.
But when you hit a point where your mind is loud but so exhausted, your body is tired, and your life feels off course, you become more open to anything that will help you feel human again.
Functional breathing and Conscious Connected Breathwork helped me calm my mind in a way nothing else ever had. It softened my nervous system, quietened my self-doubt, and helped me feel so much better in my body.
Reiki was ta big surprise. I was SO skeptical… but then it got to the point I couldn’t deny the evidence I had experienced. It opened my mind to the energetic layers of the body and mind. Subconsious patterns, fascia, emotions, the deeper parts of us that shape how we feel day to day.
Over time, I realised: When the body feels safe, the mind becomes quiet. When the mind is quiet, life becomes clearer and easier.
Life After Netball
I finished my netball career in 2025, on a high. Not because I won something, thought that was a bonus but because I learned what I needed to. Sport gave me discipline, leadership, and resilience… but these tools I’m sharing gave me presence, calmness, and stability.
I know now that it is time to give back. A lot of sports people give back in the way of coaching, but I feel this is more authentic to me, and hopefully I can support those outside of sport as well.
High-performing people; athletes, leaders, students, or anyone carrying a lot on their shoulders, are often the ones who struggle the most with self-doubt, nervous system overwhelm, stress and pressure. I know what that experience is like, because I lived in it for years.
I am bringing this to help people feel: Clearer in their minds. Calmer in their bodies. More connected to themselves. More in control of their performance. And more able to live from a place of grounded confidence.
